To succeed in this role you will need to be IT literate, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have knowledge of local area, be an effective communicator and have the ability to think outside the box. You will also be expected to cover various shifts on a rota including early mornings, late finishes and weekends. Must have own transport as public transport is not available.
Making and receiving inbound and outbound calls from clients who have broken down by the roadside.
Managing a team of roadside technicians and recovery drivers then sending the correct resource to the incident.
Using our Rescue & Recovery computer system to dispatch jobs to technicians and recovery drivers
Liaising with breakdown clubs and their members to gain information about roadside incidents.
Keeping the members up to date with the status of their rescue.
Managing technicians and recovery drivers using our live tracking system.
Write a detailed report on each job of what work was carried out.
General House keeping which includes basic cleaning duties
Use of Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel.
Check road conditions and alert roadside technicians and recovery drivers of any road closures or incidents that may be in their path and then find an alternative route for them.
